Quality Care in a Fun and Stimulating Environment

Children with additional needs

  1. If your child has been diagnosed with any condition we will be happy to discuss their needs with you and discuss how we can meet them.   We welcome children of all abilities and difficulties, this includes diabetes, severe allergies and other medical conditions,  physical limitations and various conditions which can trigger behavioural issues.  Where appropriate we will provide 1:1 care for your child.
  2. It may be that your child is displaying behaviour which concerns you, or there may be a speech delay.  We will work with you, contact the appropriate support professionals and make plans and adjustments to support them.  Again, where appropriate we will provide 1:1 care for your child.
  3. We work very closely with both Health Visitors, the Specialist Early Years Teaching in Lincolnshire, Portage, the Children's Centre and the local Primary School to offer a team approach to your child's needs to support them right through their time with us and through their transition into school.
  4. Where appropriate we will work closely with those professionals together with others like Community Paediatrics and Speech and Language specialists to gain the necessary appointments and reports to support long term support for them via the EHCP system.  This is an online application which parents are involved with and which will travel into school with your child, enabling their school to offer them the appropriate additional support from day one.  In cases of severe need, this will also trigger a possible application to one of the Specialist Support Schools in place of a local Primary School.
