Quality Care in a Fun and Stimulating Environment

Safeguarding

This is one of the most important aspects of our role.  We are committed to not only keeping your children safe and well whilst they are with us, but actively encouraging them to make sound choices and develop sound beliefs which will support them as part of a caring community, whether that is their family, their school or in the wider community.  As they grow up children may have many challenges and having a firm sense of right and wrong, of what is fair and what isn't and what is appropriate and what isn't, will all help them to make safe and sensible choices in their lives.

So, firstly, we have DBS checked staff who have qualified at some level in Childcare.  In addition most have Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene current training.  Our staff have undertaken training in Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Support for SEN children, Understanding British Values, Prevent and many other things which relate to children's health and well being.  Staff are trained to be aware of a concern about a child's welfare and what to do about it.

Our setting is checked annually for both fire safety and electrical safety (PAT testing).  Our premises are risk assessed for each area and these are reviewed annually.

Policies to cover all aspects of our work are updated with new legislation and are reviewed annually.

Our setting has locked gates at both ends and a photographic recognition on the main gate, which can only be opened from inside the setting.  All visitors sign a visitors book.  During Covid we are operating our visiting policy according to current government guidelines.

Our priority if the safety and welfare of the children in our care.
